Megan Seibel is a lighting designer completing her BFA (May 2017) in Theatre Design/Technology at SUNY-Purchase College in New York. Her credits include L’incoronazione di Poppea (Purchase Opera); Apparition (Purchase Humanities Theatre); Williamstown Theatre Festival 2016 Intern and Apprentice Company productions; Backstage Legends and Masters (Purchase Performing Arts Center); Sharon Playhouse 2015 Collegiate Company Cabaret, Community Cabaret, and Annual Spotlight Gala; and Bethesda (Capital Fringe Festival, D.C.). Assistant Lighting Design credits include The Crucible (Purchase Opera); Serious Money (Purchase Repertory Theatre); A Christmas Carol (Half Moon Theatre); and multiple dance concerts.

 

As the Lighting Intern for the 2017 Super Bowl LI Halftime Show, Megan helped in hanging, addressing and cabling fixtures, setting up carts, and was a member of the lighting crew on the field for the show. As a Williamstown Theatre Festival 2016 Lighting Design intern, Megan worked as the second lighting design assistant for Cost of Living. She  was the Sharon Playhouse Master Electrician for their 2015 productions of Little Shop of Horrors, True Love, Peter and the Star Catcher, Merrily We Roll Along and My Fair Lady.

 

Purchase Repertory Theatre credits include Master Electrician for The Green Bird; and Electrician for The Coast of Utopia: Voyage; Caucasian Chalk Circle;  All's Well That Ends Well; Blues for Mister Charlie; The Women of Lockerbie; In the Red and Brown Water; Machinal; Marat Sade; Mud, River, Stone; Rapture; and Anonymous.

 

Megan freelances in the New York City area and has worked on multiple events for Star Group Productions as well as at the Purchase Performing Arts Center and multiple other venues, productions and events.

She received the William Land Mintzer Memorial Award (2016) from the Purchase College Design/Technology Program.
